Wanting to try a new reel for 5/16 finese jigs. I’m a diehard Shimano guy. I currently use a Curado 70. This is a dedicated setup, nothing but finese jigs. Is the new Curado 70 mgl any better? Also thinking about Chronarch MGL? Any suggestions?

For that use, the Curado 70 is nice, the Curado 70 MGL is better. I would use the Aldebaran for 1/4 and under.

The 20 Metanium MGL does an excellent job casting a 5/16 finesse jig and trailer. Good distance as well. Great power and a small profile. The Curado 150 MGL is another consideration, for less money but the metanium is the better reel…..as it should be at its price point.
Another vote for the 20 Metanium MGL.Have a 5/16 oz finesse jig on a MH Expride out on
the deck every trip. That reel does a fantastic job with distance, smoothness and
power handling that bait
Curado 70MGL. Aldebaren would be my last choice. Dan

Depending what weight line (hook) id go curado 70 or aldebaren.
Where are the BIG ones? When are we going?
