    Networking 106SV to 93SV Plus

I am going to try and get the 106SV Ultra on black friday from BPS with the GT54 transducer. I currently have a 93SV Plus on a GT52 transducer, and I also have livescope lvs32. I fish from the back of my boat with no electric trolling motor. My questions are:
    1. Can I network the 93SV plus to the 106 and use only the gt54 transducer? If yes do I only need a network cable to run from 93 to 106?
    2. Assuming 1 above will work can I use livescope and sidescan on the 106 and at the same time have maps sonar and downview on the 93?
    3. With this setup will my images on the 93sv look any better than currently with the gt52?

I would appreciate any help or feedback I can get on this.

    1. Yes you can. The GT54 needs to be plugged into the 106 to share the UHD images to the 93. The Garmin marine network cable is needed.
    2. Yes, all will work once you have it networked.
    3. Going back to number 1, the images from the 54 will better than the 52.

Since you fish from back of boat, i'm assuming you have both units at back of boat. Also, you will need to plug LS to the 106 as the 93+ only has 1 port, 106 has 2 ports.

fishin couillon thanks for the quick response and confirming that what I want to do will work. I plan to primarily use the 106 for livescope and side view and the 93sv plus for mapping, sonar and clearview. Now all I have to hope is to be able to get the 106 from BPS at the sale price. Bob

I called two bass pro/ cabelas with in a couple hours of where I live. One store said they should have 15 of the 106sv and the other said they would have 6. They volunteered to let me know the employees would get what they wanted before any customer had a chance. I'm going to be there when they open. I wish you the best of luck.

jm good luck to you waiting in line. I was told by two cabelas reps that I can order the 106sv online and that is my intent.

I was informed that regional stores in my area would "NOT" be getting the 106sv units in time for Black Friday. Not at the fault of BPS but Garmin. However I was helping out at the store yesterday and they showed up... So hopefully all stores will be stocked in time.

fishin couillon another thought on networking. If I attach the gt54, and LS to the 106 and then network 106 to my 93SV plus can I use the 93plus for a dedicated LS and get the new pallets from the 106 on the 93 plus?

If ALL units are connected via ethernet cable, you see LS on any unit on the boat, so yes you can use the LS on your 93 Plus...... color pallets are set on each unit and do not "transfer" so they would not be on the older 93 Plus.

Fishin so basically I would see no difference in the livescope networked from the 106 then I have today with livescope connected directly to the 93sv plus correct?

Fishin thanks for the quick responses. One more question on networking. I do not use active captian (no smart phone) I update by using sd card. Do I need a blank sd card in the 106 in order to network to the 93sv plus?
