Mega Live problem

was back on the water yesterday; my bow10gn4di would not even see the ML on network (BRAND new hub/cables/dongle); so again, restore defaults, worked a bit, then ML sonar image would 'freeze' w/all the data boxes still working/ok. Then the 'mega live source' lost message, then wait a minute and ML un-freezes and starts working;then freezes, rinse & repeat.

looked at console while bow was froze; console 10gn4si showing ML and never a hiccup.

Swapped bow to console; same result; glitchy, but recognized the ML on network this time. Several minutes later, freezes/lost source message/un-freezes, etc. Console 10gn4msi works perfectly at bow position

called humminbird; unit going back for repair; seems as though bow10gn4di has networking has issue; will report back

replaced helix dongle
replaced network cable
replaced hub
wired direct to unit
swapped unit to console location/wiring

console unit works fine all the time, both positions

remains glitchy, here's a vid

It sure looks like a network issue of some sort but you have done everything I would know to do related to the network. Without reading back through everything, did you do a Factory Reset and or a new Network Sync?

That does not apply to Helix units. It is process with ONIX/ION/SOLIX/APEX.

ecoast, some have said resetting the ML settings helped on the Helix models. Accessories>Mega Live>Settings ( I don’t have a unit in front of me). Then redo your settings. Example: Depth of transducer, Starboard or port installation……etc.

tnx; was able to borrow another gn4; works fine in all positions, and my console unit works fine at bow also.

--when the problem unit 'freezes', the other unit(s) continue to display properly
