Can someone describe the fishing on KEUKA ?

might go there next year. Is it mostly SM or are there some LM areas? I have fished Cayuga and Seneca in BFLs, but Keuke will be new.

We love the lake, just have a hard time catching fish. We've went the mid/late May both times, which should be a great time. Some people say it's their favorite lake.

We won the Douglas rods tournament tourn this year had 21.75. my buddy reg wins there with over 20 pound bags (all largemouth). He has had a 6 to 7 pound class fish in every tournament. 2 tournaments almost back to back this year produced 8lb lunkers. Has big largies and smallies however tournaments are won on Largemouth now, it wasnt like that till the alewive population took a dump years back. Prob the #1 lake in NY if your looking for a 8 to 9.5 pound class bass.

Loads of LM in there. All of the typical LM structure exists on Keuka: lily pads, weed beds, docks. You'll likely catch more LM than SM, unless you target SM. One tournament there mid October, the winning bag was 24.5 lbs with a 6-4 and a 7-1 largemouth as part of the bag.
