I don't remember that. How did that work? I remember back in the day when BASS did those tournaments where they would fish alternating pools on the last day. I kinda liked that format.

On another note, this is back when you could fish both trails, FLW and BASS, as they didn't schedule over each other. This was indeed the golden age of bass fishing and Irwin Jacobs doesn't get near the credit he deserves for fostering it. I realize he had some issues, but he brought Wal Mart into the sport and brought about some very positive years for the sport.

In the FLW deal you were paired against 1 angler the first 2-3 days. As long as your weight beat his then you advanced. I think the final day was the Top 10 in a regular format. The weights zeroed each day.

Alpo had a few also. Amart fished the Crown Royal in BASS. He was my 2nd day draw in 2004 on Smith Lake.
