Hi HASLAG, I threw in the towel trying to locate a replacement so I have started taking my current one apart. My plan is to replace to the back with 1/2" plywood (possibly doubled) to make it stronger. I also bought a different kind of cupholder to cut into it. This cupholder has the place for two cups in one cut out, link below. My thought is that this will eliminate the center piece between the two original cup holders, which was a weak spot. Then when I have the Plywood cut to shape will am going to coat it in a Marine 2 part epoxy (black) to give it have a smooth surface to apply sea decking and waterproof. I was also trying to find the side mounted hinges that Llebroc uses on the new versions of the center seat but I did not have any luck, I even called and I was told that their seats come preassembled so they can not sell the hinges individually. Since this is the case I will reuse the original mounting hardware, unless anyone knows something I don't?

If you think I'm crazy let me know lol.

once I have it done I can post pictures, of the process and how it turned out.

Here are the materials I plan on using.
