911 or very close to it seriously

New to the "group". I purchased a Ranger Z185 Spring 2021 with a 150HP Mercury Pro XS. Dealer put a 22 Tempest Plus on motor. With the 22 T+ I continually hit the rpm limiter which is 6200rpm. I have a 6" manual jack plate on the boat. Motor height is where it performs the best. I purchased a 24 Tempest Plus and thought I had finally figured it out. With just me in the boat I was turning right at 6000 rpm's and running 59-60mph. Then...... I added 200lb to the boat, (1 person and very little tackle), and the boat fell on its face. 5800 rpm and 52.5 mph... I have NEVER gotten good lift and yes the boat runs best in "choppy" water. I am at my wits end. Can't keep throwing money at it. Someone suggested a Bravo 4 blade to get lift?????????. I need some feedback ASAP. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR FEEDBACK.

23 T+ was probably the answer, but when I was in a similar situation, I emailed Mark Croxton and he sent me a 23P Razor XL that transformed my boat.

I too went to Mark and run a Razor XL, the big difference with the 4 blade and razor XL is the extra blade and large diameter lifts the rear of the boat more allowing it to carry the weight better with less trim. You stated you have a 6” plate, what’s your prop to pad height?

Unless I read it wrong the rev limiter is 6000 on your motor and it has 2.08 gears so your there now. That boat isn't fast and those lower gears won't help but Mark working your prop should help a little.

Lower the jackplate 1/4” at a time. You might be too high when the boat is loaded. It should increase lift and get you a few more mph’s. If you fish 2 people more set it up for that. If you can try a fury do that also. It runs lower in the water. Props are a pita to figure out
