    Question 1998 70hp Evinrude/Suzuki bent prop shaft

    model no. E70PL4EE I took it to a OMC dealer and he told me he couldn't find lower unit seals. The motor still runs great and has a unbelievable amount of hours on it. Was wondering if it is even worth fixing if I can even get parts. Not sure if the gears are damaged, dealer won't take it apart because he couldn't find seals.

    www.marineengine.com shows they have one in stock # 5030973 and they say the prop shaft is available to order #5030921. You may also try a Suzuki dealer. BRP EPC also shows they have the seal kit. There is also an alternate number for the seal kit 5034475.
