When will Lowrance launch the next new HDS unit?

I want to upgrade to a new unit but looking at the timing of when HDS Live was launched, I'm thinking wait a little longer.

They used to do it every 2 years in end of Oct - early Nov and they were on this pattern since they released the HDS gen 1 units. They haven't released anything since OCT 2018. Kind of wild they haven't but im sure their next release for HDS will be a major upgrade in this case.

Seriously not sure how much farther graphs can go without jacking the price up to crazy numbers. The biggest improvement I'd like to see is start up time other than that the latest greatest units are fantastic

That’s what everyone thought with the gen2 touch units also. They always find a way to get better.

I am pretty sure the HDS Live was released for the 2019 season. I have been buying a friend's year old units and the first year for me was 2020, I am on my second year of units. I am thinking 2 things, one was that a big complaint was Lowrance was introducing a new series every 3 years. The new issue is Brunswick has purchased Navico and might try to milk any existing units for a few more years.

As Team Colibri said Lives were announced Sept/Oct 2018 and available in Nov 2018. I know of 3 software updates for the Lives.

whats funny is 50% of people complain they put too much out to keep up with and now that they have waited over 3 years and probably wont release anything for another 10 months the other 50% are wondering when the next graphs will come out.

There where three updates for Live in 2020 alone. 5-ish in total.
HDS has traditionaly been changing generation every second year.

Never noticed this. I hit the button on mine was I am getting ready to launch the boat and they are ready to go whenI am.

Yes they are a bit slow to start up. I got into the habit of turning mine on while I am readying the boat to launch. Then they are ready when I get back from parking the truck (fish alone 90% of the time when I'm not in a tournament).

They are but they are super fast compared to Helix and light speed compared to Solix....
