Can the axle be loosened and turned 180? Should be a simple task once you get the trail supported. 8 nuts and flip won't even have to remove the wheels. I assume (can be a problem) its a straight axle.

See response #2, #11 and # 17. It's possible the spring seats could have been welded on incorrectly (upside down) by the shop you had do the work. If they didn't weld them on incorrectly, maybe it was shipped to them wrong? I would also make sure that your axle is aligned correctly. Basically taking measurements from each hub, to the tongue.

Oh boy, wish they gave your old axle back. I could have fixed it.

Is it installed with the spindles above or below the axle?

Above the axle if there were down it would be too high for the application

Just wanted to be sure it wasn’t upside down.

Look across your axle tube, does the bend go up or down? It should be up. If it is down, either installed wrong or assembles wrong. Or way over weight, Doubtful. CJ

Take it to another shop and get their opinion, then you have some knowledge to fight with.

They added more bend to the axle and the tires are now running straight down the road , and all measurements are correct .

Glad you got it fixed Al. Might pay to measure tread depth across the tires a couple of times a year to catch a problem before it gets bad.

Sounds like a MacGyver fix. If the correct axle was used in the first place no bending would have been required. I hope it works out for you Al but something tells me you will have trouble down the road.

That's the right fix - glad you caught it before you beat up the tires.

If they bent it like in the video on an alignment machine then yes it should be fine. If not then well who knows what will happen down the road. I hope for Al's sake it was done properly.
