    Repower time

    Mercury 150 opti 2005 sn 1B161922
    Ran the boat on the trailer and shut off motor ran fine. Next time out would not turn over. Removed alternator belt and lower unit and spark plugs. Still can’t turn flywheel. Am I missing something?

    Starter is not engaged in flywheel, correct?

    Flywheel doesn't turn in EITHER direction?

    Starter is not engaged with flywheel I can turn it backwards maybe 1/8 turn.

    That would probably be the next step (either something has rusted up, or perhaps some adventurous critter ran up the exhaust into a cylinder).

    Don thank you so much. You are right I had a critter haul some soybeans up to number 5 cylinder. I do live on a farm and store boat with farm equipment.
