I’ve used the heck out of mine for almost three years now and it has been perfect. I tried a Ghost last spring and the power difference was very noticeable. I’d be happy with wither one tbh. Know plenty of guys who are happy with their Force as well. It really just comes down to whether you want to link it with your electronics. If not then use any of them.

Because the others have problems to! At least I know how to repair the Ultrex and how it works. The evil you know for the evil you don't know...

The steering control sensor in my Ultrex (from 2017) failed on a trip in May. Yesterday I lost steering again in a tournament and haven't had it diagnosed yet. I love the Ultrex when it works but it has been in the shop a lot more often than my previous Maxxums or Fortrex.

Does it turn at all? Mine had a wire pull loose and would turn 90* one way.

Mine also fell off the boat. There is only one 5/16 allen bolt holding the motor to the mount. This one sheared off and in the water it went.

It is locked facing left and will not turn any other direction. Previously when the control sensor failed I could at least get it to turn to straight ahead with a fair amount of foot pressure. So I don't know if this is a electronic or mechanical issue.
It also won't steer using the remote. It will power up and go but not turn.

Unfortunately the service center is an hour away...

Turns out it was the whole gear assembly that failed. $380 replacement. I like the Ultrex when it works but reliability has not been great. I’ve had several trips/tourneys ruined by breakdowns. Never had that with the Maxxum or Fortrex.
