Have any of yall taken the piece out that holds the tubes in the rod locker so it's just open? Is that piece fiberglass and is it molded into the boat? Have broken too many tips and guides and thinking about taking it out if possible. Thanks

If I remember correctly, it is just a piece that you can remove. With rod sleeves being so common, I don't see the need for rod tubes and rod holders. Miss my big cavernous rod lockers of the Cobra!
I thought about removing mine, then I drilled holes in that piece at the bottom and placed golf tubes in them and now I can lay 5 more rods on bottom of rod locker with them in the tubes. I think the piece is plastic with carpet over it. Does your boat have the 15 rod rack?
