    Mylar balloons...and bedding areas

do you guys find these things in the woods?? A deflated Mylar balloon has got to be the most common "oddity" that I come across in the woods with regularity. For a long time.

So I did a random search, and found an article where this guy is saying that the same downdrafts that caused the balloon to land where it did are often the same reason a buck will choose a bedding area.

I don't know. Maybe. I've found these things all over the place. But, I figured I'd pass it along.

Found lots of them. How are balloon releases not considered littering?

I love these theories like this. It's almost the tinfoil hat type scenarios. It's like the moon guide. Ya I think there is something too moon phase but does a deer get up at 422 and march too food? It is kinda fun tho to watch keeps me in the tree longer and builds some excitement. Ohhh baby 422 ol big boy is gonna show up

Exactly. No different than throwing a McDonald’s bag out the truck window.

Here is an interesting mylar baloon story. My f.i.l. saw one out in his hayfield, he grabbed it and on the string was tied a cigarette, he thought it odd but on the end of the string was tied a little baggie of weed. He called the local deputy and handed it over to him and he confirmed it was a baggie of pot.

I'm assuming it was a celebration of life for someone and a person sent some smoke goods to the spirit world.

I find they fairly often around our property and it is very rural. Glad to hear I am not the only one. I am east of bigger cities so I guess winds carry them my way.
