    Boat name.....

I had a friend tell me the other day I needed to name my boat. Have you named your boat? If so, what is it and where did it come from?

Nope. Although I have seen it, it's mostly a saltwater thing.

I've seen a few fishing boats with names, but it's more of a saltwater thing. I can't really think of a suitable name anyway.

Lao Tzu would say "Things come Her way and she does not stop them; By being One with Heaven, we become One with the Tao. naming often makes things impersonal.

    and...

The name that can be named is not the eternal name. The nameless is the origin of Heaven and Earth; The Named is the mother of ALL things...

just one way to think about it...

A lot of boats around here named but mostly all saltwater boats as stated before, I have seen a few bass boats but not many with names on them, other than the guy in the drivers seat or wife on the side sometimes. I do call my boat all kinds of names sometimes..lol but can't put that in print, my wife calls it my mistress

Several years ago, I saw a bassboat with the name. "Cathchin' Hell Again!" I don't have a name for my boat.

My buddy had a salt water boat with the name "Stinky Finger" on the side in big red letters.

I've always named my trucks and the boat had a name. Knew a lot of people that had a name for their boat, it just wasn't posted on there like the saltwater boats

    Boat.
As in I'm going out in the "boat".
My wife calls it Elvis because of the gazillion colour gel coat in sparkling blue.

Thanks for the replies. I didn't really mean a name on the boat like the salt boats. Just what do you call it, if anything.
