    10/30/21 report finally good morning.

Got on Viking lake about 7:30, water was up about 1ft since last time I was there. Started off throwing a spook on the edge of a rock pile got a bite second cast, little 14” I was able to get couple more with a spook. Then got a nice 16” fish with a spinner bait. Kept moving up the lake towards the campground. Stopped at the submerge right pile I found last time I was there. Had a 3/8 jig on and was feeling the rocks and felt the bite after a little fight a had a 5.66lb in the net. Quick weigh and pic then let her go. Kept moving towards the campground with spinnerbait and spook, was able to get a few dinks on my way to the boat ramp in the campground. Nothing big though and the water was really dirty up there. Designed to idol back the my rock pile and run it again glad I did because I caught he sister 4.58lb! I was very excited. Also got a few other 14”. My next thought was to move to the boat ramp on the Eastside. Could get anything going there, next move was a main lake point with a 6xd, why would I try a 6xd in 54/54* water? I don’t know but I’m glad I did felt the rod load up and cranked a 4.01lb into the net. It was about 12:30 now and I was happy and ready to go. But before loading I tried the rocks in front of the pontoon boat ramp (the one I’m using) got another 16” bass. This was probably one of the best fall fishing morning I’ve had in a long time. Now some football and get the pellet grill going.

Not to hard but now that the water has came up and we’re I need to back in to get the boat off well I was luck I had my rubber boots on because I need to get on the trailer to push the boat off and I was stanning in 6” of water. The rear truck tires were just at the edge of the water. Once it starts moving off the trailer I hop in and just park beside the trailer pull truck up then I’m off and fishing.

I love the looks of the leaves changing! I was looking through my Facebook memories and it was a year ago today when I had a day of smashing them on Green Valley. And while that statement itself isn't really anything special, it was the fact that I did it by keeping the boat basically in one spot and making the same cast that was amazing. They were all just stacked up on one rock jetty and went nuts for a jerkbait.

I think I remember a video you did on that. This is my favorite time of year to fish, love the colors and the cool mornings, probably is it just doesn’t last long enough!
