    Teryaki Sauce Recipe?

Around here, all the Teryaki joints are apparently small family owned & run by Koreans. So, that's what we're used to when we get it.

Today, we tried home-brewed Teryaki chicken and the wife bought Kikkoman Teryaki Sauce to use. It wasn't nearly as sweet and was actually only slightly sweet and noticeably salty. Can anybody recommend either a commercially available Teryaki sauce or provide a recipe for the Korean-style stuff?
Don't bother me, I'm screwing for virginity.

I killed a 12-pack just to watch it die.

Have you tried Korean BBQ sauce? It tastes a lot like Teryaki sauce

On Sunday I grilled chicken marinated in the Kikkoman Teriyaki Takumi sauce and it was really good. Make sure it's the Takumi edition though! I cut it up, soaked it overnight and put on skewers with red and green bell peppers, purple onions and pineapple. Served it over rice and used the leftover sauce to pour over the rice.

Kikkoman soy sauce, mix in white sugar until sweet, (you'll use more sugar than you would think) toasted sesame oil, (just a couple drops at a time until it tastes right) fresh grated onion, & a clove or two of minced garlic. You can spice it up too if you want it spicier. Taste while you making it ( what I do) or find a recipe with the same ingredients. You can also use granulated garlic and onion instead of fresh, but fresh is better.

My Teriyaki always starts with Kikkoman soy sauce!
brown sugar equal amount to soy,
    fine chopped garlic
    fine chopped Ginger root

This is really good with venison.

    Huli Huli Sauce

    is the above but
    equal amount Catsup
and equal amount of rice vinegar.
I go heavy on the garlic and ginger root.

Marinate you chicken with that and put on the smoker.......

If you can find Huli Huli sauce, try it. Similar to teriyaki but not as salty and is very good on chicken
