    '99 Johnson J200PLEEN Trim problem

    We have a 99' J200PLEEN (S#G04616679) with trim problems. It bounces on the way down. As others here have suggested, we have tried tightening the tilt tube nut and bleeding the system which did not change anything. One thing we noticed was going up, we couldn't hold it. It would lift us off the ground, but trimming down, we could hold it up. We spoke with a couple of shops and they said there are internal problems and we should replace the hydraulics. So, now we need the replacement hydraulic part. Can anyone recommend the best place to buy one?

    Should be plenty of complete used units out there. The Fastrac system has been around since 1991. Find a blown motor being parted out.

    i have to tighten mine once maybe twice a year, it’s not a one man job, you gotta put some real ass into it with one person and long wrench each side.

    We've decided its not the tilt tube due to the fact we can hold the motor up against the hydraulics trying to lower it. Does that sound right?
