Helix for an Ultrex w/I-pilot and US2

Hi looking for recommendations. I would like to replace my Lowrance HDS with a Helix 8 on the bow to be able to take full advantage of my Ultrex. Since it has US2 transducer, would DI or SI be a waste of money or is there another way to get Imaging and still be able to take advantage of the Ultrex features.

That is a MEGA SI+ transducer.

Thanks Wayne. That's what I was hoping to do. Is it best to purchase a control head unit and get an accessory transducer to mount on the trolling motor. Sorry for the questions but I've been using Lowrance for years and making the switch.

There is just one transducer available, XM comes with transom mount and XTM comes with trolling motor adapter. OR you can just get the mount to add to the standard XM that comes with the unit--that is what I did.

If you purchase the CHO unit (Control Head Only) it would cost more total to get the transducer separate.

Is your Ultrex an I-Pilot LINK version? If not, it will not connect to your Helix.

Sorry for the late reply SB. My Ultrex is not a Link. I pilot only. Just going to use the MDI transducer that came with the unit. Thanks
