    Floating shipping containers

Wonder what was in them. With our luck they were all chips for vehicles. Also a cargo ship on fire off the coast of Seattle.

Surprised that they would even float. Even if it was for just a short time. Didn’t think they were that waterproof.

Same ship that lost the containers is the one on fire. Reason they don't secure them is because losing a few containers is better than the whole ship capsizing.

Wouldn't they have to be pretty well sealed to keep the salt air and water out of them. One story i read said they could float for almost 60 days depending on the size.

Stop the vaccination mandates and quit paying people not to work. Then there is no shipping container back up; plus Florida is ready to off load all ships sent to them.

Yes they would. But it seems to me that they would have to be vented.

You do realize that ships sitting on the west coast would have to travel another 4400 miles to get to Florida.

They could have been there by now and been unloaded and reloaded and on their way back.

My question is how many of those containers sitting on the ships have perishables – fruits, vegetables, meats and so on that they are going to try and pawn off as fresh once they hit the docks

Just imagine what the smell will be when they open some of them

Exactly my point! At least the products would be getting used instead of just sitting there useless.

And what port in Florida has the capacity and depth for these ships? And who is paying people to not work? Where do I sign up?

Pretty sure they only have a life of 3 years due to salt damage from the ocean life. That’s why we are short due to not many being built over last 2 years now while a huge load of them expired
