    what rpm's should I turn?

Have a 19' '95 Stratos 295 dual console with a rebuilt Mercury 200 EFI. Running a Trophy 24 pitch 4 blade. Running 63.2 mph at 5900-6000 rpm. Buddy hit a rock bar and prop has 2 big dings and edges are pretty rough. Will get prop reworked,
Should I run a 25 prop or have the prop guy tweak it to drop the rpm's?
    Have a 23 3-blade I haven't tried yet.

Boat is half full of gas and every compartment is empty. What speed should I be getting and what rpm's should I turn?

I haven't measured engine height yet. Where should I measure from? Top of transom to bottom of cowling? Top of trim plate to bottom of boat?

    Thanks everyone.

Go to the Champion boat forum and there is a sticky regarding how to measure prop to pad.

Have your buddy buy a new prop.
