3 and 1 Tranducer cable - Press fit issue

We don't leave our graphs on the boat, it wasn't lined up right and apparently the small lugs on the inside of the transducer cable have "stripped". It plugs in fine just won't lock. The graph side (HDS Live) black isn't the issue.

I might trying some teflon tape to see if I can get it to bite. Anyone else have a similar issue with the cable not securing ?

I take mine off the boat after every trip, and never had this happen. I would call customer service on this one.
