    yellowing protective coating

    I have a 97 186 champion that has a coating on top of cap only that is yellow ,underneath is perfect paint ,i want to remove it and have tried a few things ,i thought it might be plastic but it is not . anyone have that coating on top of there boat? I tried a abrasive compound on a spot didnt seem to do any good , im guessing wet sanding but hoping for easier solution Thanks for any help!

    Did some knucklehead spray auto clear?
    If yes you’re screwed.
    If no get the restore kit from pro tec and follow directions.

    Sadly, it looks like someone sprayed automotive clearcoat on it and it is peeling off. Not good.

    started with razor blade today,it works but the round parts very difficult to not gouge paint.
