    Making a deck extension 201D

Im gonna make a deck extension out of marine plywood. Has anyone done this before? If so what is the best way to mount it without drilling holes in the boat?

I made one for a boat I had many years ago out of marine plywood. I did drill holes so it was secured to the boat.

If you make your attachment holes from inside the rod lockers, you should be fine, but I strongly believe that aluminum would be the best way to go if I ever decide to make a different one for mine with storage.

I'd agree with using aluminum. The wooden one I built was pretty heavy.

Here's the guy that was making them for Champion back in the day. His brother was one of the higher ups with Champ. Pretty sure he probably made them for Cobra too.
