helix gen3 or gen 4 Paired with Ipilot link

Just bought and installed an I pilot link trolling motor on my tracker. Do not currently have a humminbird unit on my boat, and have never used one. Should I get a gen3 or gen4 helix to pair with the terrova trolling motor? Thanks.

Either generation of Helix and any version is compatible. Size 8-15 or 7 that is G3N or G4N
If you want touch screen, the SOLIX G3.

A CHIRP unit is 2D only
A DI model does 2D and Down Imaging
A SI model does 2D, Down Imaging, and Side Imaging.

What transducer does the motor have?

If you want the current units to function as current units, the US2 is not it.

Current models use HW CHIRP in the 140-240 kHz range and the piezo is Low-Q CHIRP rated.

This is the MEGA SI+ transducer on an Ultrex US2 motor----

You would have to deal with cable management to have other than 83/200 kHz 2D sonar.
You can certainly dumb down a current model to be 83/200 kHz 2D-only if you want to use the US2.
