That doesn't sound good. What's going on with it?

it's started back in aug got an overheat alarm one day, so swapped out the thermostats and over temp sensor which also runs the quickstart, and thought it was all set but it was idling a little rough so check the idle timing and so on. But then the axle on my trailer snapped and it sat for most of Sept waiting on that repair, then I blew the brake lines on my tahoe and had to have them all done over that was another week and half down. Fish a BIg Bass Bash on Long Pond and she just wasn't idling right and stalling alot once I got her over 1200 rpms it ran ok but top end wasn't there either about 4 or 5 mph off .While waiting for brakes I worked on her re-checking timing and so on ,ran it on muffs plugs looked wet and the quickstart didn't seem to be working as it should ,finally got it to the water on wens it started and quickstart seem to be working ok idiling around 950 in neutral and 750-800 in gear had to feather it to take the gas though and stalled alot just like someone was turning the key off and sneezing .fish for about 4 hrs making shorts runs and so on then dropped my partner off to get the boat figured I'd open it up to see how it was alone and threw down the hammer it got to about 2000rpms then stuttered and stalled and wouldn't re-start at all just cranked.Got it on the trailer brought it home the next day pumped the ball she fired up but idled real high took a real long time to come off quickstart then died within 20 seconds of that then wouldn't restart for quite a while.Did compression check 100-100-95 both sides pulled gas line ,pumping good when ball squeezed. Got to get a spark tester .Gonna have to bring it to have someone look at it I'm stumped. Sorry for the long post..lol

Happy that the PSI #s are in range. Did the running condition improve if you bumped the choke?

Might be running lean then. Carbs, intake gasket, fuel supply, crank seal? Might want to post this where Pat Goff can see it.

I changed my fuel lines once already but will check filter and see if any foreign material is in it , I'm thinking might be electrical because of the way it seems to not want to start after it gets warm but after it cools down it starts again????

I probably have coils and powerpacks here that will fit, if it turns out to need either (from my J150TLCCA).

Pat is a great guy but knows absolutely nothing about John/Rude motors. Champion boats yep but John/rudes not so much.

Geez.... You really need to stop breaking things. My poor buddy Boyd must be scared just getting in the truck with you... Joking... I heard all about your problem yesterday while picking up leaves in the yard.
