Livescope comparison between 102SV and 1022

I'm looking at adding Livescope and I'm torn as to what unit I should buy. Anyone have any experience with the image quality between the 1022 and 102? This would solely be used for livescope and I'm not sure if the additional resolution on the 102 justifies the price difference. What are your opinions? Thank you.

I'm considering the same thing, currently using a 93sv so I'have gotten use to the touch features. I'm also wondering which unit will be supported longer with updates.

I have seen the 1222 and 126 side by side and can see no difference. My electronics guy has always sold more 10 and 12xx units than any of the others. I ran the 1242 for about a year and honestly I wish I had one back. The know is quicker than touching the screen for adjustments and no finger prints.

I am having the same difficulty deciding which way to go. My buddy and I fished with a guide that had the 1022 and the knob adjustment was really nice, I would prefer that over the touchscreen on the 106. The screen picture for the 1022 was a big difference over the 93 as well. My buddy has the 93 on his boat. We could not recreate the experience with the 93 like we did with the 1022 while trying to snipe crappies. We ended up doing the same old thing, locate the active crappie with the 93 and just fish, no sniping. My brother upgraded from the 93 to the 106 and he loves it. In landscape mode he says he can watch his jig pull across the bottom. My biggest concern is support since for the 1022 since it is the older model, it is difficult to justify the additional cost for better resolution for the 106. But I would like to know the 1022 will still be supported for the next few years.

I ended up going with the 1022, I've been out a few times and so far haven't missed the on screen adjustments.

Based off what my customers purchase, we do GPS map series 20:1 vs the Ultra units. The Touchscreen is nice, but unless they go full Garmin the price difference is a nice tradeoff.

In the video you linked, is that the 1242 or 1042 on the bow?

    Thanks

I have had them both. I prefer the 102/106 over the 1022. I like the touch screen, everything on my boat is touch screen. And the screen is actually a .5” taller on the 102/106. It was a pretty noticeable difference to me. The 106sv with gt54 on sale for Black Friday for $1000 is a fantastic deal.
