We have a huge crop of jalapenos this year. Anyone have a hot sauce recipe to share? Especially if it involves smoking the peppers first.

6 smoked jalapenos
1 lb pineapple, preferable fresh (not canned)
1 lb tomatillos
4 cloves garlic
1 red onion, chopped
1 bunch cilantro
2 tsp salt (or to taste)
broil/oven char the jalapenos, pineapple, garlic and tomatillos (no need to char the jalapenos if you smoke them)
remove garlic when soft
remove other items when a bit of black appears on the outside
blend in blender or food processor to your desired consistency
add onion, cilantro and salt and pulse until mixed in but visible onion pieces remain
serve immediately, chill or freeze for longer storage
keeps about a week in the refrigerator or a couple months in the freezer
