    Lower unit oil

Ok so I was going through my winterizing process on my 2011 250 HO ETEC and found the oil to be milky still more oil than moisture but my question is if I drain it can I leave it empty till the spring and then I’m taking it in to have it resealed I’m just under the gun while the field is still dry enough to get it into the back garage just didn’t know if I should pump more oil into it to store when I’m going to be pulling it in the spring thanks in advance as always . Pat

Man, I'd be afraid of forgetting about it and taking her out for a spring run before the service....

I would drain it completely and then re-fill with new oil. In the the spring, drain and have it re-sealed. Wouldnt chance any corrosion issues.

Lower unit oil is cheap compared to a new lower unit.

Why not remove it now and take it in for a rebuild. If you wait till spring you might not get it back for awhile.

Definitely pump oil into it now, do not let it sit dry all winter long
