Vexus has the same post base and the same problem. I had bronze bushings made for the bottom of the insert. So far, so good.

Just replaced mine last Thursday before I left for the weekend. It was broken by Sunday. Going to see if a machinist buddy can come up with something.

Mine broke this weekend and stuck the post like it was welded in. I finally got it to loosen and turn and it finally came out. All the bottom plastic is missing and let’s the post go too deep and sticks. Hope the new insert will last a little longer. May glue a stainless washer on the bottom.

Both of mine broke and I never replaced them- seats seem pretty secure-ran mine with the broken inserts for 3 years with no problems

Just a thought, is it possible to use a mini battery operated sawall to cut a couple of relief lines in the plastic to make it easier to remove?

Why not just use a hack saw blade?
