Quicksilver 3000 top mount shift handle

I have a small aluminum center console with a Quicksilver 3000 shifter mounted on the console. The shifter arm touches the tachometer when trying to go to Full Throttle. I moved the shifter housing as far back as I can, but I still need more throw out of the arm.

Can I remove the shifter arm and reinstall it a few notches back or is there only one way for it to line up?

Only one way. Best solution is to fabricate or obtain a spacer block to use underneath the control (raise it up).

I noticed that mercury sells a spacer for some top mount control, I cannot figure out the part number on Google, I appreciate your help. I seem to only find two Inch spacers for dual Mount controls

Those controls were replaced with the 4500 series a number of years ago. The spacers offered today are for the newer control series (you would likely have to fabricate your own spacer block).
