You would be surprised how many $20-$30K electronics installs we do on boats here at RMP. The catfishing guys will spend even more!

You can tell who has it and do not know what they are doing by their post. There is a cure though for ignorance.

If I mapped out what I have?
Ugh, I did it just now and got sick to my stomach. I have more in electronics (2 graphs, livescope, shallow anchors and lithiums) than I paid for the boat.

at the end of the life of a committed fisherman, if one knew for $3K he can get active TV views of fish around his bait and below his boat... who wouldn't spend $3K .... but $10K and above... guides and pros need to get their clients and their competitiveness in balance

You got that right. Older gentlemen here that has a Ranger that is old as dirt. Fogs the skeeters everytime he fires her up. Not a graph on his boat. He is hard to beat.

With so many guys getting into the video game fishing it's really cleared up the traffic on the bank runners and they are doing just fine winning and cashing checks in tournaments year round up shallow.

I talked to a Garmin Pro 2 years ago at Ky. Lake about his paid for set-up. He said to do what he had, including Lithium batteries to run it all------about $30K. That did include all the mounts and I-Pad.

You can't tell someone how to spend their money, in my case, all I need is a 2D/GPS unit on the bow and at the console. If I had to replace a unit, might go with DI and maybe a little bigger in size as well, but if I was a Pro might be different

I tell people all the time you can have 30K wrapped up and not have a boat, outboard motor or even a trailer. That just covers extra stuff like TM, poles and electronics!

I’m prolly $12k in electronics then add the Ultrex. I loose every weekend like I did with 2 small graphs.
I will finally win one using them one day and win $1500 and be able to say it was worth the cost. Lol

And some are paying for installation also
I don't think any of the real serious guys are paying for installation.
