Have you guys see the latest Jay Kumar’s Bassblaster article about "...serious tournament competitors are now spending over $20,000 on their electronics...."?
Any BBC’er rolling like that?

Depends on what he is considering electronics. 4 HDS 12 lives and active target is 14,100. So I don't know what else they could include.

I just hope they pay for themselves...
If that was my profession, then MAYBE.

5 graphs, mega 360, active FFS and a trolling motor puts you about 20k. Most top level pros have 5 now...freaking nuts.

I run 3 12 inch Lives and Active Target…bought the Lives from a sponsored guy for cheap..like 2k each. Deals are out there. You just don’t run into Bass Pro and plunk down 20k.
I can see it for real pro's. Many of us weekend warriors are in 10-15K. I think its less about the amount of money but how often you need to spend it to stay up to date. Pros are getting new stuff ever year or 2. weekend warriors are more like 4-10 years.

Think about this for a moment and then hop over to the Electronics and TM forums and see how many guys who have spend this (or close to it) and are having trouble with it or using it. Interesting comparative.
A true professional who is making his living fishing likely doesnt have these issues as he's got sponsor or other resources the weekend warrior doesn't have and that's to be expected. The rest of us spend and struggle.

Adds up pretty quick - if I went bigger screens or Solix's I could easily get there.
