    Who Likes Cube Steak

Something different and typically cheap, grew up eating cube steak and always fried it in a pan like Dad taught me to.

Now days I like to marinate them overnight in a mixture of Worcestershire and minced garlic, grill them for about 2 minutes per side, top with provolone cheese and put on a kaiser roll with some mustard.

    Anyone else eat it? How?

Pretty much the same as you. Like to cut them into small pieces after I cook and put them in a big salad.

I make a sandwich with cheese, onion, and horseradish on the kaiser roll. Also make brown gravy with sautéed mushrooms and onions and cracked black pepper. Just put it on top of garlic mashed potatoes. Excellent and easy to make. Haven't done that one in a while.

If there was one thing my mom cooked, I'll never eat again, this is it. Seemed like I always got the piece with the grizzle that I would chew and chew until I gagged and spit it out.

We did pan fried pieces and then made gravy to go over mashed potatoes. Pretty good, cheap meal.

Love it! Make country fried steak with it. Used to be reasonable but damn not anymore.

Marinated in Lowry's marinade (flavor of your choice), covered with marinade and aluminum foil, slow baked in the oven at 250F for a couple of hours. "Falls off the bone" tender.

My Wife fries it, then puts in in a crock pot. Cube steak is one of the reasons I'm fat.

Pan-fry halfway done, remove, sauté onions, remove, sauté baby portobellos, remove.
Make gravy, add steaks, cover with onions and mushrooms, drop to simmer and cover.
Come back in 1.5 hours. Serve with smashed potatoes and steamed carrots.

I pan fry in butter and garlic about 2 minutes each side. Once their all fried, put back in pan and add cream of mushroom soup. Simmer about 2 hours. Serve with mashed tators, black eyed peas, and cornbread.
