    MercMonitor and Vessel View Mobile

The boat I recently purchased came with a MercMonitor installed, but not VV Mobile. Just wondering if it is worth adding the VV mobile. What advantages are there besides the convenience of seeing engine data on a mobile device? I might be wrong, but it seems to me that the MercMonitor is providing much of the same information I would get from the VV. Engine is a 2020 Merc 4 stroke 250L Pro.

If you would, please take a moment to review the Announcements at the top of the Forum, and be sure to provide the Required Info (serial number) when posting. Thanks!

One advantage- you'd probably have your serial number in the app. You also can see SOME limited historical information, and if you set up a "preferred dealer", that dealer can pull up your basic info (maintenance life remaining, and faults that occurred/hours). The later has proved helpful in several circumstances.

Would require a J-box and the Vesselview Mobile (unless you already have a J-box under the console).
