Need some help 1991 Johnson Fastrike 150hp

1991 Johnson Model GLEIS 150hp Fastrike the other day it didn't want to idle while I was out, stall alot and idled rough if I kept it over 1200 it was fine top end seem to be ok. So today I checked the timing as per manual with the OMC engine anylizer set per specks ,started it up won't come down off quick start and is idling real high on the hose ,about 1350 to 1600 up and down ,pulled the plugs they look wet to me and did compression check that was 100 100 95 on both sides of motor, here is a pic of the plugs where or what do I start to check now... IMG_4828.JPG that is port side IMG_4827.JPG this is starboard????

ok update found that the idle timing was still way off , the guy that was helping me didn't understand the procedure in the manual and we didn't get it right, adjusted it back to where I think it should be according to the manual and it dropped down to 1100 then I went another click and it was at 1000 on the hose left it there for the time being , will water test wens and see what's going on the quick start is also back working but the plugs well that's another story I guess

Hit ignition key when running higher RPMs and see if it picks up. How's fuel consumption? Carb bowls look OK?

Well got the boat on the water and she's running like tin bear, 5700rpms and 59mph ,a little stumble on the lower end at idle need a few adjustments but idling around 950 in neutral and 750 in gear, no sneeze at all and smooth. He charged me $800 total for everything the vro is used about a 1 yr old he didn't charge me for it ,I'm happy he said if I want to pick up a new one when I can he will install it for n/c .
