    War Eagle Spinnerbaits

Had two break on me last weekend, wire broke off even with the head. Anyone else have this problem? If so what baits are you using. War eagle has always been my favorite and they have every color and combo you could ever need.

Yes. I like the action of them but they are not durable.

Yes that is very very common problem with them. The light wire is the reason. Of course the light wire is why they catch so many fish. It’s just part of them. Fun fishing no big deal. Tournament wise...after a dozen or so fish, I’m putting on a new one.

Yep I stopped using them and switched to Booyah Coverts for this reason. No issue with the Coverts thus far.

Light wire = more vibration = more fish. But, light wire will wear out and break after being bent numerous times. Thick wire baits will last a lot longer, but many say that they produce fewer fish.

Same here. Basically a disposable lure. Maybe a few days or one pike.

Best spinnerbait out there....BUT also the least durable. I keep about 20-40 new in the package at all times. On sale from LBF you can get them for right at $5.00. I put a new one on for every tx and use the used ones for fun fishing.

That’s what we do with them also. They catch plenty of fish and break too often.

After a dozen fish I think you got your money's worth.

Stopped using them because of how quickly the wire would wear out a hole in the head or they break. They do catch fish though.

I only break them when a catfish mauls them, and usually because I bend the hell out of them getting hook.

Lot of thicker wire baits, but war eagles are a confidence thing for me.

I only use War Eagle SE spinnerbaits for spotted bass. I only use Booyah quads for large mouth.
