I grew up in Oklahoma, and I learned a lot watching them fish even though they were up north. I grew up reading the magazine and watching their shows. The Linders are truly icons in the sport. Prayers for the family.

Remember being riveted to the tv when his In-Fisherman program aired in the 70's and of
course subscribed to his magazine. His infectious manner in talking/teaching fishing
was/is so much fun to watch. I remember the tv Rick Clunn interview (yeah, I was 'a little bit jealous' ...)
and the 'cut-and-dried forest lake deal' challenge in his magazine.

Thoughts and best wishes to the family.

Him and his brother were pioneers in the fishing industry. They weren't just for you norfers...they are very well respected here in the south.

Very much agree with this. Always seemed to me to be very genuine and unabashded in his faith.

This is sad to hear - the Lindner family has done a lot to promote the sport of fishing for everyone.

A wonderful God loving family. I pray for God’s strength for the family at this difficult time. I met Al at the seminar he did at a local boat dealership. He was as humble as a man could be.
