    Exhaust nipple question

    Probably a simple answer, but I took exhaust nipple out to clean it. If I shake it I hear something rattling around inside. Is there a ball valve in there? As I shake it around and blow thru it, sometimes it’s tougher to blow thru than other times. Thanks in advance.

    Just an empty tube. Must be some carbon build-up. Use drill bit to clean tube. 1/8".

    Thanks for the replies. I have taken the exhaust nipple out and cleaned it out with a drill bit as far in it as I could. I have it soaking in carb cleaner now. Another question, should I be able to blow any air in the hose up to the diaphragm? I tried and could not move any air.

    No, the diaphragm is there to prevent the exhaust from reaching the EMM!
