    Do you have a jackplate on your 186? I so you may want to jack it up when testing the Fury4 23P. Jack it up = more RPM, more speed. Keep jacking until you lose water pressure, or lose speed.

    No Sir,
    No jack plate...as Pat stated Optimax's and Champions like the 3 blade...the 24P Tempest plus gets me to 59 mph but only 5400 RPM...next week I will be testing 23P Tempest Plus

    i am looking at a 186, with a 150 on it, 70lb thrust trolling motor i am wondering about the handling/ride on bigger lakes.
    I fish mostly in Ill. but we go to Kentucky ones a year.
    what do you guys think?

    No worries. The 186 cAn handle the bigger water. Just use common sense.

    No problem. Ky lake and St Clair seen my 186 a few times.
