    Low voltage

    Does it make a difference in whether u use a. Trolling or starting battery to run 2 lowrance 12 gen 2 I'm having issues with unit cutting off.

    Not as long as they are fully charged, which they will not be for long once you turn your units on. :)
    If you don`t have your engine connected to the battery powering your units, you want a deep-cycle battery and not a cranking-battery. Your by far best option is a LiFePo4, that is lighter, smaller and in the long run cheaper than any lead-based alternative.
