It will wear, Andy. My 2021 will celebrate its first Bday in 2 weeks () and it already has some slop in it.

Phoenix doesn’t make the trailer and marine master makes trailers for a lot of different boat manufacturers

My 2019 got a little loose and I just tightened the nut on the pin. Seems to have a sweet spot. Mine has been to Florida a few times and still ok. But I agree, the design sucks.

You need to run the ground wire from the factory ground back to the marker light ground

I had a 2014 losing signal and the issue was the loose joint in combinatin with NO wire connecting front to core trailer. Dealer added a wire between the two and appears resolved problem I don't notice much other then this on my trailer.

AMEN! One would think that spending all that money on a nice rig that the trailer would follow suit. I am not 100% satisfied with my Marine Master Trailer either.

Does marine master build to the specifications/requirements set by Phoenix? If so the burden should be on Phoenix to demand a better quality product.

Check for corrosion at the tongue. If you take a wire brush and clean up the rust you shouldn’t have any issues with ground.
