It's probably been discussed here before but what has anyone done to take the wiggle out of the folding tongue after several years of wear? I snugged it up a couple of times, but that doesn't really solve the bolt hole wearing.

It's absolutely the worst design in the world for a trailer...... The slop is crazy. I brought mine to our race shop and welded it up forever and recoated the coating. No more slop. Sorry to say this was my worst experience with the Phoenix. It's the trailer.
So I guess everyone else just lives with it?

I never fold mine so i took pin out and put bolt. Solved issues
Its a Phoenix trailer, be glad it rolls
They aint got hands, set the hook
Can you have the holes welded ? What I mean is - close up the holes a bit with weld and then re-drill the holes to proper size - sounds like the “pin” holes have become enlongated ?
Wonder if you could slip a washer in there. I don't have many miles but mine is sloppy. The bigger problem with that slop is that it messes with the lights. Lose continuity across the sloppy joint.

The ground wire on mine is behind the joint from factory. Maybe the ground wire is broken. Shouldn’t be trying to carry ground across the joint.

I haven't had a lighting problem, yet. And I need to fold it to fit in my garage.
Just all the slop seams bad in the long run.

I've looked at it. It would take some good metal work. The steel in the trailers is mild steel. It where's rapidly. It would having sleeves/bushings to be installed. For strength alone its takes a little skill to do.

remove hardware
install weld washers
re-install hardware
If you don't have a hitch slop stopper, basically a U shaped muffler clamp put one on and it may help 50 percent of the problem.
they must have allowed for ware on the new ones, cant hardly get the pin out
