You are right. I missed the hidden bolt at the bottom back. I think I'll need to buy a u-joint socket to get to it. Thank you for pointing this out to me.

1/4" drive 8mm or 5/16 socket on a long extension. There is a rubber plug in the port side lower cowling that comes out and gives you a straight shot to the bolt.

Number 2 is the rubber/plastic grommet/plug you remove to access the bolt as Bryan mentioned above.

Got the lower cowling off and pulled the strainer which was clear (see pic). Thx for all the
