Lower Unit Reccomendations

Have a lower unit on 250 Pro XS that just broke driveshaft. Cannot aford to pay 5-6K to replace at this time. Looking for any good help with this. Here is motor info

was told a Verado style or Wingmaster---Iwould be good with anything that works correctly, I don't know much about this, just drive boat.
also told part number for unit is # 880686A43

also heard some people might repair. motor has about 300 hrs all original
