I have a 2 carbons at my console. When selecting transducer i do not see an option for channel 2 so I can select My active Imaging 2 in one xducer. Will it read automatically?

It should say AI 2-1 at the bottom which is non selectable

I turned off legacy mode... my gen 2 up front must have thrown everything off. I see it now.

Your thread is what made me turn off legacy mode. Im not running live sight but, is the hds gen 2 touch hindering the carbon 12 and 16? Would it be best if I take the Gen 2 off the network?

If the Gen 2 is on the network you cannot run two 2D sources on any unit on the network. There will no option for Channel 2. The 2 in 1 should still work connected to the Structure port. Remember, the channels have NOTHING to do with Structure readings. They only refer to 2D sonar. Channel 1 is the blue plug. Channel 2 is the black plug. You should not have to select the AI transducer. Just go to the Structure page and select This Unit as the source.

You don’t have too. You only have one 2D source on your Carbon. Your 2 in 1 won’t be affected. You will be in Legacy mode but that shouldn’t matter. Other than getting annoying messages upon startup.

I think the Legacy mode is off. Should I turn it back on. I didnt have this issue when I had the gen 2 touch, gen 3 and the carbon in net work.

Legacy mode is automatic. You can’t turn it on or off. It is triggered by a unit older (Legacy unit) than Gen 3 on your network. What is the actual problem? Your units should work fine with the Gen 2 on the network. I’m not understanding what the issue is.

Again please excuse my ignorance. When i fire up my carbon 16 I get this message.
It looks like all my units are up to date. I now have my gen 3 12 at the bow and a carbon 16 and 12 at the console. I get this message on my 16 when i turn my carbon 12 on at the console. What does this message me

You previously had a legacy-unit in the (ethernet) network. Assuming you have removed that, save waypoints and hard reset your other units.
Agree with TC. But even if you kept the Gen 2 everything would still work. Like I said in post 9, that is the annoying message. But since you don’t need Channel 2, just disregard it. Now that you have Gen 3 in the system, Legacy mode won’t be an issue.
