Carpet Glue Question

I ran some new electrical wires for our aluminum bass boat and was able to pull some carpet down to get to the existing wiring in one of the rod lockers. What glue can I use to put the carpet back up on the walls. I want something similar that was on there before that allows me to pull the carpet down if I want need to get to the wiring or want to add more wiring and not something permanent that will rip the carpet if I need to pull it down again.

I was looking at the 3M 77 spray adhesive as something that was easy and wasn't permanent.

And the rubber backing didn't stick to the boat, it's still on the carpet? I have never used glue from a spray can, just weldwwod, anything that would stick and hold should work. Don't use that rubber cement crap, it's nasty Chit.
