Fortrex 80 head squeak when I turn left or right

I have a new Fortrex 80 TM bought just a couple of months ago. Last time out it developed a squeak coming from the control head when I turn left or right. The TM has not been hit or man handled in any way. This is not normal and would like to know if anyone else has/had this problem and what did you do to get it gone!

It sounds like one of the screws that hold the pinion gear to the shaft has loosened. That will get worse and should be fixed. It’s not too hard to do if you want to do it yourself.

Got some Silicone spray coming and I am going to pull the cover and check the screws. Thanks!

Follow-up....pulled the cover off the head and the squeak was gone. Removed the pointer from the cover and sprayed it with Silicone Spray...no more squeak!
