Many forum members have replaced the factory winch with the Fulton F2, 2-speed model, 3200 pound capacity. It is way, way stronger and reduces user exertion by at least 50%. The question is, will it fit on your winch stand…. Maybe someone with a similar model/year will chime in, or you can do a forum search under “Fulton F2.” There have been several dedicated threads and many other mentions in the past couple of years.
Note: I did a very quick search myself, and it looks like the 3200 pound model is too tall for some boats in that year range. If it *would* fit, the 3200 pound model is the one with the low gear, which is awesome. But if you can’t go quite that big, the 1600 pound F2 [single speed] and the Fulton XLT are good replacement choices.

Do you think that Cabelas sells those or would I need to order it from Ranger or Fulton?
Thank you for your help.

I have a '06 519 and I replaced mine with an F2. I had to route the winch strap off the bottom of the drum and then you can winch "backward" or swap the handle to the other side - either way works. No problems bolting up or clearance for me.
Ordered mine, 1600# from Wal-Mart for less than $85 !! Fits prefect !!

This is the one I got. I originally got the 3200 but it was too large to fit on my trailer. Check and make sure the 3200 will fit if you want to go that direction.
