    Batteries

Have new interstate cranking runn on 2017 trx 20 Patriot..
    upgraded to new 2 Solix gen 3 units .. a 10 and 12 plus a mega 360..
last couple days out about 6 hrs into my day my cranking battery goes dead
that I can start my 250 Optimax pro xs.. but still could run my pumps..
I didn’t use the 12 last tournament cuz I fished shallow and new the area..
didnt think that’s the units are pulling that much power ..

do I need to switch to a lithium…
but I see guys with 4 graphs not using lithium
just wondering what you guys are running

i did fish few tournament at beginning of the yr with no issues ..

Step down to the Merc 3 Liter forum and check the battery recommendation section of the FAQ pinned at the top. Short answer, you will need to switch to a group 31 AGM. The big Odyssey or X2 are two good choices.

Interstates are not top tier batteries. As suggested above, the X2, Northstar, and Odyssey 31AGMs are where you need to be with a traditional battery.

If you want lithium, seek out a fellow NYer Kevin at K&K Kustoms for an Impulse 125ah cranker that will do all you ask and then some.

I have the x2 power 31 series battery. I run all 4 graphs 2 hds 12, hds 9 and garmin liveacope all off my battery. No issues. I did move to a hds 16 so I may put my two console graphs a 12 and 16 on its own lithium.

Triton 19 XS Elite, 225 Mercury Pro XS, Minn Kota Ultrex 112, Hydrowave H2, Twin 8' Power Pole Blades, Power Pole CHARGE, Lowrance HDS 12 and 16 at console, Lowrance HDS 9, Garmin LiveScope at bow, Mercmonitor, Rigid Industries Deck lights and other stuff to come that will make me go more broke

Interstate batteries aren't very good, if you want a good cheaper battery I run one of these with my Optimax along with 3 graphs, power pole and livewell all day and don't have any issues. https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/...p30/11968148-P

Also lithium batteries aren't approved by Mercury for use in any of their motors.

I have 4 Lowrance units (3 HDS 12 live, 1 HDS 16), Active Target(mounted on a switch) Blade power poles, MEMA system, and Power pole charge system. I run 5 DM 31 Optima Batteries and NEVER have any issues ( sat on a ledge spot 6 hours and cranked right up). 3 batteries for trolling motor, and 2 batteries parallel setup for all electronics , pumps lights, trim, etc. also have the power pole charge system setup to re-charge the 2 batteries when I do crank the main motor. The only reason I would want lithium Batteries is to lighten the payload, but I don't have an issue with that, most all marine technicians will tell you not to run lithium's for cranking, so i decided to just run all optima's.
